Question:
Good Morning, Can Council please advise:

1. Are council able to provide a KLM file of patch locations

2. Schedule 1 notes that patch depth is 350mm will replacement layers are 400mm. Please qualify.

3. Please specify binder type required for seal.

4.
Pay Items A1.1 and A1.2 as shown below provide a numerical range, Ie 0-50, 50-100 etc. Is this an area range for individual patch sizes as measured in m2? Ie Tenders are to enter a unit rate for the activity description for patches in this size range?

5. Item 5 in the notes on Schedule 2 states: Supply, backfill, spread & trim behind / adjacent new works with topsoil in the nature strip, and with DGB 20 base behind laybacks and along gutter lip lines. AC at gutter lip line to be placed by others. Suitable excavated site material can be used to backfill adjacent works in the nature strip as long as 25 mm of top soil is used on top. How is this work paid for?

6. Item 3 states: 3. Disposal (includes loading, transport and tipping of spoil to approved Waste facility yard including tip fees. Q. What are the approved waste facilities? Q2. Does council not have an option to stock pile or recycle this material for shoulder widening works?

Thank you

Answered on 18/Dec/2024 02:44 PM:

1. No, Council cannot provide a KLM file of patch locations.

2. Minimum 350mm depth will be required. Please note it is a Schedule of rates contract.

3. We recommend to use C-170

4. The range 0-50, 50-100 etc are in cubic meter, the unit rates for individual patches can be mentioned here.

5. The work is applicable only for schedule 2, heavy patching in Urban roads, your price should inculde in the heavy patching.

6. The disposal to waste facility is not applicable. Only the Stock piling of excavated road material to Council Stockpile (near Hollydeen rest area / Council’s work depot) including transport and handling cost is applicable.
