Question:
Dear Council

On page 5 of the Technical Specification, under Section 3, it notes "Provision of a suitably trained, accredited, competent and experienced Project Management staff. At a minimum the following staff members are to be available:

* RPEQ Engineer – Able to sign off on the suitability of construction

* Project Manager – Suitably qualified to ensure the efficient completion of the project and provide advice on construction methodologies, variation requests and payment claims

* Inspectors – Suitably qualified to sign off on construction hold points."

Can Council please confirm if resources and rates for these three (3) staff members must be submitted to ensure a compliant tender submission, or will Council accept a tender submission with one or two resources and rates for the requested positions i.e. RPEQ Engineer and Project Manager?

Thank you

Answered on 18/Dec/2024 07:08 AM:

Hi team ,

Good morning.

It is Council’s preference that rates for the 3 listed staff members be submitted, that said should you not have dedicated inspectors please submit the rate for the person who would be completing the inspections (eg. Project Manager) under this item

Thanks

Question:
Queries as Follows:-

1) In regard to the Pricing Schedule Table Item #106 for Establishment/Disestablishment being limited to once per project - as the duration of projects can vary from project to project, is there a minimum or typical duration of each project so that this can be priced representatively or more ideally can this be priced - based on a regular roster to /from the shire?

2) will the engagement of the personnel be based on the duration of one project to the next project (ie separate engagements) or is it envisaged that personnel will be engaged longer term over multiple projects for longer durations - if so is there an estimated duration eg six months / the year?

3) Will BSC provide Office Space and associated facilities for these personnel or is this to be provided by the tenderer?

4) Generally an Admin Officer would not require a vehicle as is an office based role, can this be priced without a vehicle?

Answered on 09/Jan/2025 03:11 PM:

Hi,

Question 1. For the purposes of the assessment of this tender we are looking for the cost of a single site establishment and disestablishment. When pricing the individual projects under this tender you will need to factor in either full time accommodation for the duration of the project or the cost of travel to and from the area for your staff into the quote.

Question 2. It is the intention that quote requests will be limited to a single project.

Question 3. Office space at Council’s depot will be provided if required for the project management staff or will be included as a requirement to supply by the contractor within the tender

Questions 4. If a vehicle is not required by the Admin Officer than the cost of a vehicle can be excluded from the price (please note that this has not been included in your submission)

Thanks
